Giving Back with St Vincent’s Loui’s Van – 50 Pairs for the North West Coast of Tasmania
As part of our ongoing mission to support people doing it tough across Australia, 1for1.clUb is proud to announce our latest sock drop: 50 pairs of premium Australian Merino wool socks delivered to St Vincent de Paul’s Loui’s Van outreach service on the North West Coast of Tasmania.
Loui’s Van is an incredible grassroots initiative run by St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania. Their outreach vans operate across the state, providing hot meals, essential supplies, and human connection to individuals experiencing homelessness, social isolation, or financial hardship. The North West service, which covers towns such as Burnie, Devonport, and Ulverstone, plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who may not have access to traditional services or permanent housing.
Why socks?
Socks are one of the most requested but least donated items in homeless support services. Clean, warm socks aren’t just a comfort item; they’re a health essential. Especially in Tasmania’s cold, wet winters, high-quality Merino socks help prevent blisters, keep feet dry, and offer a sense of dignity to people sleeping rough or living in insecure housing.
Each pair we donate is made from iconic Australian Merino wool, known for its natural warmth, odour resistance, and breathability. Designed for outdoor wear and long days on the move, these socks are built to last and to bring comfort where it’s needed most.
At 1for1.clUb, our giving model is simple: for every pair of socks purchased, we donate one to someone experiencing crisis. We work closely with verified frontline organisations across the country, like St Vincent de Paul, to ensure every donated pair reaches the hands — and feet — of those who need them most.
This latest drop to Loui’s Van in North West Tasmania wouldn’t be possible without our incredible customers and community. Every purchase helps extend warmth, dignity, and support to someone doing it tough.
